such as newspaper subscriptions, English language course inscription fees, and membership fees to athletic and drawing academy courses.
The raffle profits were sufficient to donate 10 bicycles to “PLAN AID”.

We provided funding for a 40 m deep well drilled by a local specialized firm under supervision of the Salesian friary.
We want to develop a sustainable project within the context of “soroptimists go for water” in order to make an efficient contribution to the fight against poverty and illness.

sponsoring of the welcoming & information centre the “Shelter” in Borgerhout by providing a navigation or signalisation system with panels & equipment having various logos, arrows & colours. This system shows the visitors (who don’t speak the local language Dutch) how to find their way in the “Shelter house” in order to get easily & independently to the office or organisation of their needs.

PFR is een afkorting van "Programme Focus Report". Een club stelt een PFR op voor een belangrijk project dat gerealiseerd werd in het kader van 10 Soroptimist International Programme focus objectives.
Programme focus objectives
- Eliminate poverty and gender discrimination through ensuring women’s full social and economic rights (ESD*)
- End human trafficking and all forms of violence against women and children (HRSW)
- Ensure access to health care for women and children (H)
- Support programmes and policies that eliminate HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis and other major diseases (H)
- Improve access to clean water, sanitation and essential food resources (ENV)
- Mitigate the effects of climate change and integrate sustainability into personal choices and government policies and programmes (ENV)
- Meet the needs of women and children during and after armed conflicts and disasters (IGU)
- Promote peaceful conflict resolution, inter-cultural and inter-racial tolerance and condemn genocide and terrorism (IGU)
- Ensure equal access to education and training for women and girls throughout their lifespan (ED)
- Assure women’s advancement in management, politics and decision-making (ESD)
